Visiting Writer, Scholar, Traveler—Carol Becker

17 Apr

“For Carol Becker, traveler, there are no roads; she makes her path as she walks and takes the only road that can be taken, the ethical one. And along her extraordinary path, she creates spaces of hope and resistance.”—Alfredo Jaar

The RISD Writing Center is proud to co-sponsor a lecture and conversation with Carol Becker.

Becker’s research explores how art and society interact and how the interaction evolves with the changing boundary between public and private. Her most recent of six books is titled Thinking in Place: Art, Action, and Cultural Production.
